The Glass Mountain

“The Glass Mountain,” inspired by our film “Out of the Shadow: Shining Light on Domestic Violence,” combines modern dance with spoken word to tell an old Grimms’ fairy tale to depict the story of a woman captured by a “troll,” a perfect metaphor for domestic violence. The woman must do as the troll demands or be killed. She, like the women and men in our films, finally makes the decision to get away, to leave the cave, to re-claim her life.
